Save to Serve

That was the day you were happy,
The day you received Christ’s Salvation,
Uncontrollable tears rolling down your cheeks;
We were all rejoicing and weeping.

From wandering around to coming to Church,
From entering the wide gate to narrow gate,
Oh, life was not the same anymore;
Life becomes meaningful from meaningless.

Mom and dad, sisters and brothers were happy,
Church leaders and all members were happy,
We sing and dance praising the Lord;
We shout for joy, worshipping the Lord.

Things you used to do, you do them no more,
The road that you go, you go them no more,
Home becomes your loving place;
Church becomes your favourite place.

Oh, how great is receiving Salvation,
That our name is written in Heaven,
Not by deeds, but by grace alone;
That we become white as a snow.

Now my dear, here you listen to me,
Will that be enough, will that be the end?
Not just one mile, but an extra mile we need;
It is time we enlarge our tent.

Sit not, in one place, stay not,
Plenty, the harvest is, but few, the reapers are,
Wake up oh, and put on your strength;
Let us toil, as we are Save to Serve.

NOTE:This poem is written for the Silver Jubilee Souvenir of the NEICCYA 2018.
